Online Learning Opportunities Available

Mountain City, Tenn. (June, 2020)—It’s back to school for many students in Johnson County who will begin the 2020–21 school year at
Johnson County Schools a new districtwide online school for students in grades K-12.

Hallmarks of the online learning program include flexibility in pace and location, greater personalization, and access to a wider range of courses. Students will learn under the instruction of certified teachers through online lessons structured to fit the individualized learning needs of students. Students will have access to high quality core courses online and a wide array of electives and career technical education (CTE) courses for high schoolers.


Johnson County Online School will be governed by Johnson County Schools, while its curriculum and other services will be provided by Pearson Online &  Blended Learning, a leading provider of high-quality, highly accountable online and blended learning accredited by
AdvancED.
